40 Girlfriends Foundation

About 40 Girlfriends

40 Girlfriends is a community created for women 40 and over who are ready to reconnect with themselves, build meaningful friendships, and enjoy life beyond their daily responsibilities. Whether you've spent years raising a family, building a career, caring for others, or simply putting yourself last, this is a space where you can finally say "yes" to you.
Our mission is simple—to bring women together through travel, local events, retreats, outdoor adventures, and shared experiences that create genuine connections and lasting memories. We believe it's never too late to explore a new destination, try something different, laugh a little louder, or meet women who may become lifelong
friends.
As our community grows, so does our vision. Our long-term goal is to partner with sponsors and secure grants that help make retreats and life-changing experiences accessible to women who are
grieving, rebuilding, or facing financial challenges.
At 40 Girlfriends, we believe life doesn't slow down
after 40—it opens the door to a whole new chapter. So pack your bags, bring your smile, and come make memories with us. Your next adventure—and your next girlfriend—might be waiting.
MEET OUR FOUNDER

Hi, I'm Geneva McClain—entrepreneur, content creator, traveler, and the founder of 40 Girlfriends.

Many people know me as the creator and host of Geneva's Closett, where I've spent over a decade building an online community, interviewing celebrities, researching stories, and connecting with audiences around the world. But beyond the camera, I'm simply a woman who believes life should continue to grow after 40.

As a mother, business owner, and lifelong entrepreneur, I understand how easy it is to spend years taking care of everyone else while putting your own dreams on hold. That's what inspired me to create 40 Girlfriends—a place where women can reconnect with themselves, build genuine friendships, travel, try new experiences, and enjoy this chapter of life together.

Whether we're hiking a beautiful trail, sharing laughs over dinner, or exploring another country, my goal is simple: to create meaningful experiences where women feel welcomed, supported, and inspired.

My long-term vision is to grow 40 Girlfriends into a foundation that helps women facing grief, life transitions, or financial hardships experience the healing power of friendship, travel, and community.

I truly believe some of life's greatest adventures—and friendships—begin after 40, and I can't wait to share them with you.
